Amanda Schmitt–Attorney (CA and WA)

As an adoptive mom, adoption is close to Amanda’s heart.  She knows the joy and the pain that can accompany an adoption journey and loves helping families navigate the beautiful, and sometimes treacherous, waters of adoption.

Amanda earned her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, where her studies emphasized family law, adoption law, and bioethics, including embryo adoption.  Prior to starting Adoptions West, she worked as the parenting and adoption support coordinator for a pregnancy clinic in Southern California. Amanda specializes in interstate adoptions involving ICPC, domestic infant adoption, and embryo adoption/donation.

Amanda draws from both her professional expertise and her personal experience to guide expectant parents considering adoption and adoptive parents through the adoption process.
